2020-12-13fdt: Use an Enum for the data typeSimon Glass1-7/+7
Use an Enum instead of the current ad-hoc constants, so that there is a data type associated with each 'type' value. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-04-26patman: Move to absolute importsSimon Glass1-1/+1
At present patman sets the python path on startup so that it can access the libraries it needs. If we convert to use absolute imports this is not necessary. Move patman to use absolute imports. This requires changes in tools which use the patman libraries (which is most of them). Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-04-26binman: Move to absolute importsSimon Glass1-3/+3
At present binman sets the python path on startup so that it can access the libraries it needs. If we convert to use absolute imports this is not necessary. Move binman to use absolute imports. This enables removable of the path adjusting in Entry also. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-10-09binman: Move to three-digit test-file numbersSimon Glass1-2/+2
We now have 99 tests. Before adding any more, rename everything to three digits. This helps to preserve the ordering of tests and makes it easier to find things. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-10-08binman: Fix up removal of temporary directoriesSimon Glass1-0/+4
At present 'make check' leaves some temporary directories around. Part of this is because we call tools.PrepareOutputDir() twice in some cases, without calling tools.FinaliseOutputDir() in between. Fix this. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-3/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-06-02fdt: Drop fdt_select.pySimon Glass1-1/+1
This file was used to select between the normal and fallback libfdt implementations. Now that we only have one, it is not needed. Drop it and fix up all users. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2017-06-02fdt: Drop fdt_fallback librarySimon Glass1-10/+0
Drop this now-unused library and associated tests. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2017-06-02fdt: dtoc: Add a full set of property testsSimon Glass1-0/+46
The tests don't currently cover all the different property types. Add a new test which checks each property type in turn, to make sure each has the correct type and value. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2017-06-02fdt: Update fdt_test to use 'dt' instead of 'fdt'Simon Glass1-9/+9
Since fdt is a module it conflicts with this variable name and prevents it being used in tests. Rename the variable. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2016-12-20binman: Introduce binman, a tool for building binary imagesSimon Glass1-0/+48
This adds the basic code for binman, including command parsing, processing of entries and generation of images. So far no entry types are supported. These will be added in future commits as examples of how to add new types. See the README for documentation. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Tested-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
