2022-01-19doc: replace @return by Return:Heinrich Schuchardt1-1/+1
Sphinx expects Return: and not @return to indicate a return value. find . -name '*.c' -exec \ sed -i 's/^\(\s\)\*\(\s*\)@return\(\s\)/\1*\2Return:\3/' {} \; find . -name '*.h' -exec \ sed -i 's/^\(\s\)\*\(\s*\)@return\(\s\)/\1*\2Return:\3/' {} \; Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <heinrich.schuchardt@canonical.com>
2021-03-27binman: Show a message when changing subnodesSimon Glass1-2/+2
This change seems important enough to warrant a visible message. Change the log_debug() to log_info(). Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2021-01-30binman: Print a debug message when binman selects a nodeSimon Glass1-0/+2
Add some debugging to indicate which node the binman library is looking at. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2021-01-27binman: Allow reading entries from a subnodeSimon Glass1-0/+18
Some images may have multiple copies of the same thing, e.g. two versions of the read/write U-Boots. It is necessary to read data from one or other of these under selection of the verified-boot logic. Add a function to select the subnode to use. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2021-01-27binman: Move selection of the binman node into a functionSimon Glass1-10/+33
Move this logic out of the main init function so it is available for other purpose. Use a different error when multiple-images is in use but no subnode is available. This makes it easier to determine what is wrong. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-11-30binman: Remove additional backslashMichal Simek1-1/+1
The origin patch didn't have this change and it was caused by manual resolution where additional backslash was added. Fixes: 6723b4c6ca7b ("binman: Call helper function binman_set_rom_offset() to fill offset") Signed-off-by: Michal Simek <michal.simek@xilinx.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-11-05binman: Call helper function binman_set_rom_offset() to fill offsetMichal Simek1-2/+2
There is prepared function for filing rom_offset. That's why use it instead of copying content of it. Signed-off-by: Michal Simek <michal.simek@xilinx.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-10-29binman: Support multiple images in the librarySimon Glass1-0/+7
Add support for multiple images, since these are used on x86 now. Select the first image for now, since that is generally the correct one. At some point we can add a way to determine which image is currently running. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-10-29binman: Add a way to read the ROM offsetSimon Glass1-1/+6
Provide a function to read the ROM offset so that we can store the value in one place and clients don't need to store it themselves after calling binman_set_rom_offset(). Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-07-17binman: Add way to locate an entry in memorySimon Glass1-0/+23
Add support for accessing an entry's contents in memory-mapped SPI flash. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
2020-07-17binman: Refactor binman_entry_find() to allow other nodesSimon Glass1-6/+13
At present we can only read from a top-level binman node entry. Refactor this function to produce a second local function which supports reading from any node. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
2020-07-17binman: Allow setting the ROM offsetSimon Glass1-0/+17
On x86 the SPI ROM can be memory-mapped, at least most of it. Add a way to tell binman the offset from a ROM address to a RAM address. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
2020-05-18common: Drop log.h from common headerSimon Glass1-0/+1
Move this header out of the common header. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-02-05dm: core: Create a new header file for 'compat' featuresSimon Glass1-0/+1
At present dm/device.h includes the linux-compatible features. This requires including linux/compat.h which in turn includes a lot of headers. One of these is malloc.h which we thus end up including in every file in U-Boot. Apart from the inefficiency of this, it is problematic for sandbox which needs to use the system malloc() in some files. Move the compatibility features into a separate header file. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2019-12-15binman: Add a library to access binman entriesSimon Glass1-0/+48
SPL and TPL can access information about binman entries using link-time symbols but this is not available in U-Boot proper. Of course it could be made available, but the intention is to just read the device tree. Add support for this, so that U-Boot can locate entries.
