2020-10-22km/common: change ubicopy variableHolger Brunck1-2/+1
Instead having a hard coded value for "cramfsaddr" after compile time, we change it to take the variable "cramfsaddr" for the ubicopy variable. This makes sure that ubicopy uses the right address, even when the value for "cramfsaddr" has changed. 2020-10-22km: adapt defines and variables for new memory layoutHolger Brunck3-0/+8
Due to increasing kernel image sizes we get problems when decompressing the kernel image. To fix this we need to change the addresses where we load and where we extract the kernel. Also we need to adapt the address where to load the CRAMFS image and where to load the DTB file. While at it also harmonize all boards for PPC and ARM to have the same values. Also we add a new variable "env_version", so that the userspace is able to detect if this is a u-boot binary with updated values or not. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2019-11-20env: Remove useless CONFIG_ENV_SIZE_REDUND and fix ENV_IS_REDUND checkTom Rini2-2/+0
We have CONFIG_ENV_SIZE_IS_REDUND but don't really use it. We have one board where we can simply multiple CONFIG_ENV_SIZE by two for the same result. The other place where we could but were not previously using this is for where env_internal.h checks for if we should set ENV_IS_EMBEDDED. This seems like the most likely use, historically, of the variable, but it was not used. Add logic to check for this now. 2019-08-12km: add Kconfig menus for KM boardsPascal Linder2-2/+2
To execute the conversion away from board specific header files, Kconfig menus have been implemented for all KM boards and additionally for those having an ARM architecture. For the moment, the preprocessor definitions stay in the headers. The boolean types, however, needed a modification (#define CONFIG_* 1). The default configuration files of some boards required an update in order to not change the currently defined values of the configurations. KM Kirkwood boards now implement the driver model for its SPI flash interface. Therefore, the old board specific claim and release functions can be deleted. The preprocessor definition CONFIG_SYS_KW_SPI_MPP is yet unused as well. All its appearances and dependencies are removed in the kirkwood_spi driver, header files and finally the configuration whitelist. 2019-02-07configs: Don't use SPI_FLASH_BAR as defaultVignesh R1-1/+0
Now that new SPI NOR layer uses stateless 4 byte opcodes by default, don't enable SPI_FLASH_BAR. For SPI controllers that cannot support 4-byte addressing, (stm32_qspi.c, fsl_qspi.c, mtk_qspi.c, ich.c, renesas_rpc_spi.c) add an imply clause to enable SPI_FLASH_BAR so as to not break functionality. Instead of manually specifying CONFIG_SYS_EXTRA_ENV_RELOC for every board that needs it, it shouldn't hurt to let initr_reloc_global_data() always relocate gd->env_addr unless we know this pointer is outside the initial binary. 2018-08-17Migrate bootlimit to KconfigAlex Kiernan1-1/+0
Migrate boards which set bootlimit in the environment to Kconfig. We exclude gurnard_defconfig which includes a bootlimit=, but doesn't set CONFIG_BOOTCOUNT_LIMIT, so we'd fail to include a bootlimit setting if we migrated it. display5_defconfig and display5_factory_defconfig share a SYS_CONFIG_NAME, but only display5_defconfig enables CONFIG_BOOTCOUNT_LIMIT, so we fail to set bootlimit= in display5_factory_defconfig. This is okay because the display5_factory_defconfig doesn't need to have it set, as it is only meant to prepare the board in the factory. Environment changes for all modified configs as seen from buildman: boards.cfg is up to date. Nothing to do. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini7-14/+7
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. They're also sometimes used for things not directly inside of the serial driver. First, introduce a new symbol to guard the use of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX, so that in the case where we don't need this for the serial driver, but for some other use, we can still do it. Next, consolidate all of these into the single entry in drivers/serial/Kconfig. Finally, introduce CONS_INDEX_[023456] so that we can imply a correct value here to make the defconfig side of this smaller. 2018-02-25bootcount: Migrate CONFIG_SYS_BOOTCOUNT_ADDRTom Rini1-3/+0
Migrate the users of CONFIG_SYS_BOOTCOUNT_ADDR to Kconfig. We can provide a default for BOOTCOUNT_AM33XX as that's a specific part of the RTC in use. We can also provide a default for ARCH_LS1043A and ARCH_LS1021A as they had been previously calculated and their symbols are in Kconfig. In the case of other QE-enabled platforms, they are not so we must update the relevant defconfig files. The previous default only applied in some cases, even on a specific SoC family.
