2022-06-06Migrate CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to Kconfig using system-constants.hTom Rini1-2/+0
- Make all users of CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR reference SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR - Introduce HAS_CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to allow for setting the stack pointer directly, otherwise we use the common calculation. - On some platforms that were using the standard calculation but did not set CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE / CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_ADDR, set them. - On a small number of platforms that were not subtracting GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE do so now via the standard calculation. - CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_OFFSET is now widely unused, so remove it from most board config header files. CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_OFFSET In the places where PowerPC references CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_OFFSET it does so as (CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_ADDR + CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_OFFSET). And it defines CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_OFFSET in the same manner that other architectures define CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_OFFSET. Other architectures define CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR as (CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_ADDR + CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_OFFSET) typically. Rename things within PowerPC for consistency with other architectures. This converts removes the following symbols: CONFIG_HAS_ETH0 CONFIG_HAS_ETH1 CONFIG_HAS_ETH2 CONFIG_HAS_ETH3 This is because at this point, only the ids8313 platform was using the code which was controlled by these symbols. In turn, this code already performs error checking on being able to perform the device tree fixup. Rather than convert these to Kconfig for a single platform, update the code to not need these checks and remove them from all the platforms they were unused on. 2021-12-27Finish converting CONFIG_WATCHDOG, HW_WATCHDOG and WDT to KconfigTom Rini1-1/+0
Because of how these symbols work, and the remaining board config.h file uses, we need to do these at the same time. In some cases we just get to move rather directly to the defconfigs. A few cases require manual intervention. For the case of the eb_cpu5282 we need to select HW_WATCHDOG for the target, given how it's implemented. For the cases of m53menlo, dh_imx6, display5, and display5_factory we disable SPL watchdog support as the particular combination of options they want would require either more symbols or enabling SPL_DM. First, we convert CONFIG_SYS_I2C_LEGACY to Kconfig. Next, as you cannot have SYS_I2C_LEGACY and DM_I2C at the same time, introduce CONFIG_SPL_SYS_I2C_LEGACY so that we can enable the legacy option only in SPL. 2021-07-28i2c: Rename CONFIG_SYS_I2C to CONFIG_SYS_I2C_LEGACYSimon Glass1-1/+1
It is quite confusing that CONFIG_SYS_I2C selects the legacy I2C and CONFIG_DM_I2C selects the current I2C. The deadline to migrate I2C is less than a year away. Also we want to have a CONFIG_I2C for U-Boot proper just like we have CONFIG_SPL_I2C for SPL, so we can simplify the Makefile rules. Rename this symbol so it is clear it is going away. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2019-11-20env: Remove useless CONFIG_ENV_SIZE_REDUND and fix ENV_IS_REDUND checkTom Rini1-1/+0
We have CONFIG_ENV_SIZE_IS_REDUND but don't really use it. We have one board where we can simply multiple CONFIG_ENV_SIZE by two for the same result. The other place where we could but were not previously using this is for where env_internal.h checks for if we should set ENV_IS_EMBEDDED. This seems like the most likely use, historically, of the variable, but it was not used. Add logic to check for this now. 2019-05-21mpc83xx: Get rid of CONFIG_SYS_LBC_*Mario Six1-9/+0
Except for one counter example, CONFIG_SYS_LBC_LBCR always has a value of either 0x00040000 or 0x00000000. CONFIG_SYS_LBC_MRTPR always has the value 0x20000000. CONFIG_SYS_LBC_LSDMR_{1,2,4,5} are not set for any mpc83xx board. CONFIG_SYS_LBC_LSRT is set by one board (to 0x32000000). MPC83xx uses CONFIG_83XX_CLKIN instead of CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ to set the system clock. To migrate the architecture, we can replace CONFIG_83XX_CLKIN with CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ.
