2015-08-13kconfig: add config option for shell promptNikita Kiryanov1-1/+0
Add option to set shell prompt string from menuconfig and migrate boards globally. The migration is done as follows: - Boards that explicitly and unconditionally set CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT had the entry moved to their defconfig files. - Boards that defined some kind of #ifdef logic which selects the CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT (for example qemu-mips) got an #undef CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT right before the #ifdef logic and were left alone. - This change forces CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT to be a per board decision, and thus CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT was removed from all <soc>_common.h and <arch>_common.h files. This results in a streamlined default value across platforms, and includes the following files: spear-common, sunxi-common, mv-common, ti_armv7_common, tegra-common, at91-sama5_common, and zynq-common. - Boards that relied on <arch/soc>_common.h values of CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT were not updated in their respective defconfig files under the assumption that since they did not explicitly define a value, they're fine with whatever the default is. - On the other hand, boards that relied on a value defined in some <boards>_common.h file such as woodburn_common, rpi-common, bur_am335x_common, ls2085a_common, siemens_am33x_common, and omap3_evm_common, had their values moved to the respective defconfig files. - The define V_PROMPT was removed, since it is not used anywhere except for assigning a value for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT. Some archs/boards specify their own default by pre-defining the config which causes the Kconfig system to mix up the order of the configs in the defconfigs... This will cause merge pain if allowed to proliferate. Remove the configs that behave this way from the archs. A few configs still remain, but that is because they only exist as defaults and do not have a proper Kconfig entry. For most boards which define CONFIG_SPL_PAD_TO, it is defined in config header files. Currently, there exists only one exception, cam_enc_4xx board. This patch moves CONFIG_SPL_PAD_TO definition from board/ait/cam_enc_4xx/config.mk to include/configs/cam_enc_4xx.h. 2012-11-26spl/nand: introduce CONFIG_SPL_NAND_DRIVERS, _BASE, and _ECC.Scott Wood1-0/+3
Some small SPLs do not use nand_base.c, and a subset of those also require a special driver. Some SPLs need software ECC but others can't fit it. All existing boards that specify CONFIG_SPL_NAND_SUPPORT have these symbols added to preserve existing behavior. This allows us to get rid of CONFIG_SYS_NAND_ECCSTEPS and CONFIG_SYS_NAND_ECCTOTAL now, which would otherwise be likely to linger unreferenced after a conversion. It also eliminates a temporary error in the hawkboard_nand build, since the spl version of the patch removed ECCSTEPS/TOTAL from hawkboard.h, but the spl conversion is pending (and may be merged via a different tree).
