2022-04-21fs: ext4: Use CRC-16 implementation from linux/crc16.hPali Rohár1-1/+1
Implementation in linux/crc16.h provides standard CRC-16 algorithm with polynomial x^16 + x^15 + x^2 + 1. Use it and remove duplicate ext4 CRC-16 specific code. Signed-off-by: Pali Rohár <pali@kernel.org> Reviewed-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
2020-05-18common: Drop net.h from common headerSimon Glass1-0/+1
Move this header out of the common header. Network support is used in quite a few places but it still does not warrant blanket inclusion. Note that this net.h header itself has quite a lot in it. It could be split into the driver-mode support, functions, structures, checksumming, etc. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2019-04-09fs: ext4: constify the buffer passed to write functionsJean-Jacques Hiblot1-1/+1
There is no need to modify the buffer passed to ext4fs_write_file(). The memset() call is not required here and was likely copied from the equivalent part of the ext4fs_read_file() function where we do need it. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2016-09-23treewide: replace #include <asm/errno.h> with <linux/errno.h>Masahiro Yamada1-1/+1
Now, arch/${ARCH}/include/asm/errno.h and include/linux/errno.h have the same content. (both just wrap <asm-generic/errno.h>) Replace all include directives for <asm/errno.h> with <linux/errno.h>. 2016-09-23ext4: Add helper functions for block group descriptor field accessStefan Brüns1-0/+12
The helper functions encapsulate access of the block group descriptors, independent of group descriptor size. The helpers also deal with the endianess of the fields, and with split fields like free_blocks/ free_blocks_high. Signed-off-by: Stefan Brüns <stefan.bruens@rwth-aachen.de>
2016-09-23ext4: propagate error if creation of directory entry failsStefan Brüns1-1/+1
In case the dir entry creation failed, ext4fs_write would later overwrite a random inode, as inodeno was never initialized. Signed-off-by: Stefan Brüns <stefan.bruens@rwth-aachen.de> Reviewed-by: Lukasz Majewski <l.majewski@samsung.com>
2016-09-23ext4: fix endianess problems in ext4 write supportMichael Walle1-2/+2
All fields were accessed directly instead of using the proper byte swap functions. Thus, ext4 write support was only usable on little-endian architectures. Fix this. Signed-off-by: Michael Walle <michael@walle.cc>

2013-05-10fs/ext4: Support device block sizes != 512 bytesEgbert Eich1-1/+1
The 512 byte block size was hard coded in the ext4 file systems. Large harddisks today support bigger block sizes typically 4096 bytes. This patch removes this limitation. Signed-off-by: Egbert Eich <eich@suse.com>
2013-04-01Consolidate bool typeYork Sun1-2/+0
'bool' is defined in random places. This patch consolidates them into a single header file include/linux/types.h, using stdbool.h introduced in C99. All other #define, typedef and enum are removed. They are all consistent with true = 1, false = 0. Replace FALSE, False with false. Replace TRUE, True with true. Skip *.py, *.php, lib/* files. Signed-off-by: York Sun <yorksun@freescale.com>
2012-10-29fs: separate CONFIG_FS_{FAT, EXT4} from CONFIG_CMD_{FAT, EXT*}Stephen Warren1-2/+2
This makes the FAT and ext4 filesystem implementations build if CONFIG_FS_{FAT,EXT4} are defined, rather than basing the build on whether CONFIG_CMD_{FAT,EXT*} are defined. This will allow the filesystems to be built separately from the filesystem-specific commands that use them. This paves the way for the creation of filesystem-generic commands that used the filesystems, without requiring the filesystem- specific commands. Minor documentation changes are made for this change. The new config options are automatically selected by the old config options to retain backwards-compatibility. Convert ext2/4 load, ls, and write functions to use common device and partition parsing function. With the common function "dev:part" can come from the environment and a '-' can be used in that case. Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <rob.herring@calxeda.com>
2012-09-20ext4: cache-align buffers so the invalidation worksStephen Warren1-1/+6
DMA buffer cache invalidation requires that buffers have cache-aligned buffer locations and sizes. Use memalign() and ALLOC_CACHE_ALIGN_BUFFER() to ensure this. On Tegra at least, without this fix, the following fail commands fail in u-boot-master/ext4, but succeeded at the branch's branch point in u-boot/master. With this fix, the commands work again: ext2ls mmc 0:1 / ext2load mmc 0:1 /boot/zImage Cc: Uma Shankar <uma.shankar@samsung.com> Cc: Manjunatha C Achar <a.manjunatha@samsung.com> Cc: Iqbal Shareef <iqbal.ams@samsung.com> Cc: Hakgoo Lee <goodguy.lee@samsung.com> Cc: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Cc: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
