There are a lot of zynq configurations which can be merged together and use only one for all. The similar change has been done for ZynqMP by commit be1b6c32d940 ("arm64: zynqmp: Use zynqmp_virt platform") Build SPL with u-boot.img for zc706 like this. export DEVICE_TREE=zynq-zc706 && make xilinx_zynq_virt_defconfig && make -j8 u-boot.img is generic for all boards. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_USE_PREBOOT CONFIG_PREBOOT Both are together in one commit, since otherwise the former causes kconfig to define the latter, which gives duplicate symbol errors. The name CONFIG_LEGACY_IMAGE_FORMAT reads slightly better along with allowing us to avoid a rather nasty Kbuild/Kconfig issue down the line with CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(IMAGE_FORMAT_LEGACY). 2019-02-14ARM: zynq: Run distribution boot commands firstMichal Simek1-1/+0
This patch is doing two things. 1. Exchanging order of boot commands. distro_bootcmd is run first followed by Xilinx boot command. 2. Remove CONFIG_BOOTCOMMAND from configs (and follow mainline) by creating Xilinx distribution bootcommand and wiring it as the last bootcommand. 2018-04-16part: Disable CONFIG_SPL_ISO_PARTITION by defaultAlexander Graf1-1/+0
We enabled CONFIG_ISO_PARTITION by default for distro boot, so that U-Boot could load distro images that usually get shipped as iso images. These images usually come with a board agnostic boot environment. However, there is very little point in having ISO support enabled (for anyone really) in SPL, as the whole idea of SPL is to load U-Boot proper which again is board specific. So the fact that we enable ISO support in U-Boot proper does not mean at all that we want ISO support in U-Boot SPL. Hence, let's remove the Kconfig dependency. 2016-12-29mmc: complete unfinished move of CONFIG_MMCMasahiro Yamada1-0/+1
Commit 7a777f6d6f35 ("mmc: Add generic Kconfig option") created a Kconfig entry for this option without any actual moves, then commit 44c798799f66 ("sunxi: Use Kconfig CONFIG_MMC") moved instances only for SUNXI. We generally do not like such partial moves. This kind of work is automated by tools/moveconfig.py, so it is pretty easy to complete this move. I am adding "default ARM || PPC || SANDBOX" (suggested by Tom). This shortens the configs and will ease new board porting. Extending Kconfig for adding new platform is a lot of work for nothing. Setting SYS_CONFIG_NAME directly in Kconfig and remove all dependencies on TARGET_ZYNQ_* options including SPL.
