This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_POWER_I2C CONFIG_POWER_LEGACY They are handled at the same time due to a dependency between them. Update the Makefile rule to use legacy power only in U-Boot proper. Unfortunately a separate rule is needed in SPL to be able to build legacy power. Add SPL related symbols for both, to allow for SPL-only usage. First, we convert CONFIG_SYS_I2C_LEGACY to Kconfig. Next, as you cannot have SYS_I2C_LEGACY and DM_I2C at the same time, introduce CONFIG_SPL_SYS_I2C_LEGACY so that we can enable the legacy option only in SPL. 2020-06-22ARM: imx: soc: Select default TEXT_BASE for MX7Marek Vasut1-2/+0
Select default U-Boot and SPL text base for the MX7 SoC. The U-Boot text base is picked as the one used by various MX7 boards. The SPL text base however is different. The SPL text base is set to 0x912000 instead of the usual 0x911000, that is because the 0x911000 value cannot work. Using 0x911000 as a SPL text base will result in the DCD header being placed below the 0x911000 address, which is a reserved SRAM area which must not be used. This will actually trigger eMMC boot failure on MX7D at least. Hence the increment. Update all boards affected by this SPL problem to the new SPL_TEXT_BASE. Many boards do not use all selected framebuffer depth configurations, for such boards there is some unused code in video and console uclass routines. Make depth specific code optional to avoid dead code and slightly reduce binary size. Also make ANSI code optional for the same reason. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2019-04-25pico-imx7d: Convert DM MMCJoris Offouga1-0/+1
This patch enable convert DM MMC for imx7d-pico board and variant. Before the DM conversion only usdhc3 was enabled and therefore it appeared as MMC 0 to u-boot. After enabling MMC DM though usdhc3 defaults to MMC 2, which left unattended would drive changes to existing pico-pi bootscripts and environment variables that rely on mmc 0. Setup the alias of mmc0 and usdhc3 so that existing pico-imx7d boot code will work unmodified. When converting to DM_MMC it is necessary that SPL initializes eMMC by itself, so move the original eMMC initialization from U-Boot proper to SPL. 2019-01-19Kconfig: Migrate BOUNCE_BUFFERPhilipp Tomsich1-0/+1
The bounce buffer is used by a few drivers (most of the MMC drivers) to overcome limitations in their respective DMA implementation. This moves the configuration to Kconfig and makes it user-selectable (even though it will be a required feature to make those drivers work): the expected usage is for drivers depending on this to 'select' it unconditionally from their respective Kconfig (see follow-up patches). This commit includes a full migration using moveconfig.py to ensure that each commit compiles. To ensure bisectability we update dependencies of various drivers to now select BOUNCE_BUFFER when needed.
