Add a proper Kconfig option for SPL so we can remove the hack in some of the board config files. 2021-06-21imx8mm: configs: enable distro default featuresAndrey Zhizhikin1-2/+1
imx8mm ekv has been switched to use distro boot commands, but had no correct options enabled to support sysboot. According to the README.distro, sysboot is consindered to be a recommended way of using distro boot commands, it required default distro features to be enabled instead of only those that are relevant to the boot script. Replace the boot script specific options in the config to a default distro option. Supported boot device types in iMX8MM: MMC, DHCP. CONFIG_CMD_PART is added for command part and CONFIG_CMD_FS_GENERIC is for command fstype. CONFIG_BOOTCOMMAND which is defined in include/configs/imx8mm_evk.h is deleted because "run distro_bootcmd" is required to be the default boot mode. scriptaddr is the location in RAM where boot.scr.uimg/boot.scr will be loaded to prior to execution. kernel_addr_r is the location in RAM where the kernel will be loaded to. Currently the watchdog driver is not selected, which causes the following warnings in both SPL and U-Boot proper: U-Boot SPL 2020.07-rc1-00387-g67887903af (May 07 2020 - 23:49:27 -0300) Normal Boot WDT: Started without servicing (60s timeout) Trying to boot from MMC1 U-Boot 2020.07-rc1-00387-g67887903af (May 07 2020 - 23:49:27 -0300) CPU: Freescale i.MX8MMQ rev1.0 at 1200 MHz Reset cause: POR Model: FSL i.MX8MM EVK board DRAM: 2 GiB WDT: Started without servicing (60s timeout) .... System reboots after staying 60s in the U-Boot prompt. Fix this problem by enabling CONFIG_WATCHDOG so that watchdog can be properly serviced. 2020-05-01ARM: imx8m: Fix reset in SPL on NXP iMX8MM EVKMarek Vasut1-0/+5
Board files should not re-implement do_reset() to work around this function not being defined in for specific configurations. Rather, the fix is to compile in drivers which implement this properly. This patch enables sysreset and watchdog drivers in SPL and ties them together to implement the same as the do_reset() hack in the board file, except correctly in the DM/DT framework. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms.
