2020-05-18common: Drop net.h from common headerSimon Glass1-0/+1
Move this header out of the common header. Network support is used in quite a few places but it still does not warrant blanket inclusion. Note that this net.h header itself has quite a lot in it. It could be split into the driver-mode support, functions, structures, checksumming, etc. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2019-12-02common: Move some cache and MMU functions out of common.hSimon Glass1-0/+1
These functions belong in cpu_func.h. Another option would be cache.h but that code uses driver model and we have not moved these cache functions to use driver model. Since they are CPU-related it seems reasonable to put them here. Move them over. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2019-08-11env: Move env_set() to env.hSimon Glass1-0/+1
Move env_set() over to the new header file. Acked-by: Joe Hershberger <joe.hershberger@ni.com> Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini3-7/+3
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-08-16env: Rename getenv/_f() to env_get()Simon Glass1-1/+1
We are now using an env_ prefix for environment functions. Rename these two functions for consistency. Also add function comments in common.h. Quite a few places use getenv() in a condition context, provoking a warning from checkpatch. These are fixed up in this patch also. Suggested-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2017-08-16env: Rename setenv() to env_set()Simon Glass1-2/+2
We are now using an env_ prefix for environment functions. Rename setenv() for consistency. Also add function comments in common.h. Suggested-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2017-07-11dm: scsi: Document and rename the scsi_scan() parameterSimon Glass1-1/+1
The 'mode' parameter is actually a flag to determine whether to display a list of devices found during the scan. Rename it to reflect this, add a function comment and adjust callers to use a boolean. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
2017-07-11dm: ahci: Rename struct ahci_probe_entSimon Glass1-1/+1
This is not a very useful name since once it is probed it still hangs around. With driver model we will use uclass data for this, so rename the struct. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
2016-01-19Add more SPDX-License-Identifier tagsTom Rini1-12/+1
In a number of places we had wordings of the GPL (or LGPL in a few cases) license text that were split in such a way that it wasn't caught previously. Convert all of these to the correct SPDX-License-Identifier tag. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2015-08-12ARM: highbank: remove DRAM bank setupRob Herring1-6/+0
On the highbank platform the SoC's management controller firmware will probe the DRAM modules and populates the initial device tree with the correct values. Therefore the memory sizes in the DT are already correct, so remove U-Boot's DRAM bank setup so the memory node is not "fixed up" by u-boot. 2015-06-12ARM: highbank: add reset support for Calxeda Midway machineMark Langsdorf1-1/+14
The Calxeda Midway part has A15 cores, which do not have the Highbank A9's SCU used there for resetting the chip. Add code to distinguish between the A9 and the A15 and invoke the appropriate register writes to support the newer part. 2014-11-21fdt: Allow ft_board_setup() to report failureSimon Glass1-1/+3
This function can fail if the device tree runs out of space. Rather than silently booting with an incomplete device tree, allow the failure to be detected. Unfortunately this involves changing a lot of places in the code. I have not changed behvaiour to return an error where one is not currently returned, to avoid unexpected breakage. Eventually it would be nice to allow boards to register functions to be called to update the device tree. This would avoid all the many functions to do this. However it's not clear yet if this should be done using driver model or with a linker list. This work is left for later. 2014-07-30Add board MAINTAINERS filesMasahiro Yamada1-0/+6
We have switched to Kconfig and the boards.cfg file is going to be removed. We have to retrieve the board status and maintainers information from it. The MAINTAINERS format as in Linux Kernel would be nice because we can crib the scripts/get_maintainer.pl script. After some discussion, we chose to put a MAINTAINERS file under each board directory, not the top-level one because we want to collect relevant information for a board into a single place. TODO: Modify get_maintainer.pl to scan multiple MAINTAINERS files. 2014-07-30kconfig: add board Kconfig and defconfig filesMasahiro Yamada1-0/+19
This commit adds: - arch/${ARCH}/Kconfig provide a menu to select target boards - board/${VENDOR}/${BOARD}/Kconfig or board/${BOARD}/Kconfig set CONFIG macros to the appropriate values for each board - configs/${TARGET_BOARD}_defconfig default setting of each board (This commit was automatically generated by a conversion script based on boards.cfg) In Linux Kernel, defconfig files are located under arch/${ARCH}/configs/ directory. It works in Linux Kernel since ARCH is always given from the command line for cross compile. But in U-Boot, ARCH is not given from the command line. Which means we cannot know ARCH until the board configuration is done. That is why all the "*_defconfig" files should be gathered into a single directory ./configs/.
