2022-09-06board: freescale: p1_p2_rdb_pc: Turn off watchdog before resetPali Rohár1-0/+4
P1/P2 RDB boards have external max6370 watchdog connected to CPLD and this watchdog is not deactivated on board reset. So if it is active during board reset, it can trigger another reset when CPU is booting U-Boot. To prevent possible infinite reset loop caused by external watchdog, turn it off before reset. Do it via a new board_reset_prepare() callback which is called from do_reset() function before any reset sequence. 2022-09-06board: freescale: p1_p2_rdb_pc: Avoid usage of CPLD's system reset registerPali Rohár1-0/+4
CPLD's system reset register is buggy and requires workaround in U-Boot. So use this kind of board reset only when there is no other reset option. Introduce a new board_reset_last() callback which is last-stage board-specific reset and implement CPLD's system reset in this new board_reset_last() callback instead of board_reset() callback. 2021-08-31nxp: Migrate CONFIG_DDR_CLK_FREQ to KconfigTom Rini1-3/+5
As this symbol can either be a fixed value or the function get_board_ddr_clk, migration is tricky. Introduce a choice of DYNAMIC or STATIC_DDR_CLK_FREQ. If DYNAMIC, we continue to use the board defined get_board_ddr_clk function. If STATIC, set CONFIG_DDR_CLK_FREQ to that value and now include/clock_legacy.h contains the function prototype or defines get_board_ddr_clk() to that static value. Update callers to test for DYNAMIC or STATIC. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. 2020-07-17treewide: convert bd_t to struct bd_info by coccinelleMasahiro Yamada1-1/+1
The Linux coding style guide (Documentation/process/coding-style.rst) clearly says: It's a **mistake** to use typedef for structures and pointers. Besides, using typedef for structures is annoying when you try to make headers self-contained. Let's say you have the following function declaration in a header: void foo(bd_t *bd); This is not self-contained since bd_t is not defined. To tell the compiler what 'bd_t' is, you need to include <asm/u-boot.h> #include <asm/u-boot.h> void foo(bd_t *bd); Then, the include direcective pulls in more bloat needlessly. If you use 'struct bd_info' instead, it is enough to put a forward declaration as follows: struct bd_info; void foo(struct bd_info *bd); Right, typedef'ing bd_t is a mistake. I used coccinelle to generate this commit. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: <smpl> @@ typedef bd_t; @@ -bd_t +struct bd_info </smpl> Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org>

2020-05-18command: Remove the cmd_tbl_t typedefSimon Glass1-1/+1
We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward declarations which means that header files must include the full header to access them. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-07-22powerpc: Remove unneccessary #ifdefs in reginfoChristophe Leroy1-1/+2
reginfo command is calling mpc8xx_reginfo(), mpc85xx_reginfo() or mpc86xx_reginfo() based on CONFIG_ symbol. As those 3 functions can't me defined at the same time, let's rename them print_reginfo() to avoid the #ifdefs The name is kept generic as it is not at all dependent on powerpc arch and any other arch could want to also print such information. In addition, as the Makefile compiles cmd/reginfo.c only when CONFIG_CMD_REGINFO is set, there is no need to enclose the U_BOOT_CMD definition inside a #ifdef CONFIG_CMD_REGINFO Lets all remove the #ifdefs around the U_BOOT_CMD as this file is only compiled when CONFIG_CMD_REGINFO is defined Finally, this is a PowerPC-only command, disable it on a number of non-PowerPC platforms.
