The result of running etc/update-copyright.py --this-year, fixing all the files whose mode is changed by the script, plus a build with --enable-maintainer-mode --enable-cgen-maint=yes, then checking out */po/*.pot which we don't update frequently. The copy of cgen was with commit d1dd5fcc38ead reverted as that commit breaks building of bfp opcodes files.

When statically linking, it can arrive to an undefined weak symbol of which its value cannot be determined. However, we are having pieces of code which doesn't take this situation into account, leading to access a structure which may not be initialized. This is to address the regressions addressed by Nic [1]. The regular expression pattern for the tls_ie-01 test was too strict and raising false alarms. The new pattern only looks for matches that should be there AND ignores the boiler plates from the object dump. 2020-11-16ld: Fix the tls_ie-01 test for arcShahab Vahedi1-4/+7
The purpose of the test is to look for entries of "foo" and "bar" in the ".got". The old "objdump -s ..." has been replaced with "objdump -D ..." to inspect the final executable. This patch standardizes messages in ld, to better conform to the GNU coding standard. Besides issues of capitalization and full-stops, I've - Split up help messages for target options, so that adding a new option does not mean loss of translation for all the others. - Embedded tabs have been removed, since a user might have tab stops set at other than 8 char intervals. - Added missing program name (%P). ld isn't the compiler. - Put %F and %X first (and removed %X if %F was present). These can go anywhere, but look silly in the m%Fiddle of a message, and choosing "%P%F:" in some messages but "%F%P:" in others leads to the likelihood of duplication in ld.pot. When ld is running with something other than --hash-style=sysv by default, numerous tests need tweaking. Most of the changes just add --hash-style=sysv. 2017-06-08[ARC] Fixed TLS for IE model.Cupertino Miranda1-2/+2
In the case of static relocation, the GOT entries are fixed at link time and are set by the linker. In order to compute the right TLS offset it is necessary to add TCB_SIZE to the offset, just in case the dynamic linker is not expected to be executed (static linked case). This problem does appear in dynamic linked applications, as the dynamic linker is adding this TCB_SIZE by operating the TCB block structure. The arc700 nps variant uses some specific named sections to facilitate its CMEM based instructions, which operate on memory regions fixed at specific addresses. This commit adds the arclinux_nps emulation, which is based on the arclinux emulation. The new emulation uses the OTHER_SECTIONS variable in the emulation parameters script to provide symbols mapping to various locations in the CMEM space on nps.
